New Dates for the Contemplative Prayer Group
For over a year, a group from across the Creakes Benefice and beyond it have been meeting at The Church of Saint Mary Syderstone for contemplative prayer. Contemplative prayer is a form of silent prayer that is focused on experiencing God’s loving kindness through quiet, gentle attention. This form of prayer has a deep and rich tradition within Christianity. Meetings are at 4pm on the second Tuesday of the month. Coffee, cake, and fellowship follow.
Believing with the Body — A Talk by Fr. George Guiver
Building on the excellent lectures of previous years we are delighted to have Fr George Guiver CR as our speaker this October. Fr George is a monk with The Community of the Resurrection in Mirfield and the author of several books. His latest book is 'All Christians are Monks: The Monastery, the Parish and the Renewal of the Church'. This is a talk not to be missed and everyone is encouraged to attend, especially PCC members and those who will be involved
Open Studio and Exhibition of Recent Work Fundraiser
Come along to Debbie Osborn's Open Studio and Exhibition of Recent Work on Saturday, 12 July. It will be open all day from 10am -- see poster for details. Funds raised from all work sold will be donated to Our Lady Saint Mary South Creake.
Strawberry Cream Tea at Syderstone
Come to the Annual Strawberry Cream Tea at Syderstone -- A Big Favourite in the Calendar! It is on Saturday 19 July from 2:30pmm to 4pm at the Amy Robsart Village Hall in Syderstone. Tickets are £8.00 each. Fundraising to support The Church of Saint Mary Syderstone
Come along to the North Norfolk Music Festival!
Our Lady Saint Mary South Creake is hosting the North Norfolk Music Festival once again this year. Come along to hear an amazing variety of world-class musicians play in a church renown for its acoustics. There is a wide range of musicians performing a wonderful programme of music. Put the Summer Fete date in Your Diary!
Come along to the summer fete at the Church of Our Lady Saint Mary South Creake on Sunday 20 July from 1-4pm. Refreshments, cakes, a raffle, tombola, books stalls, game and a lot more will be on offer! All proceeds go to church funds.
Come along to the National Garden Scheme Open Day fundraiser!
The Church of Our Lady Saint Mary Syderstone team will once again be manning a cake, sandwich and hot beverages stand at the National Garden Scheme open day at the Old Rectory Syderstone, on Sunday 22 June, 11am to 5pm. Come along to see the gardens, and then stop and have some refreshments in beautiful surroundings. All profits from the food stall go towards the Church of Our Lady Saint Mary Syderstone.

Come along to the Benefice-wide Bring and Share Brunch at the Church of Our Lady Saint Mary South Creake on Sunday 29 June at 11:30. Bring a plate of food and join us as we meet together as a benefice. Tea and coffee are available.
